Protein Engineer

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced bioprocess development Scientists for the development of downstream processes, scale-up and technology transfer related to antibodies and other proteins. Key responsibilities:
 Design, optimize and direct downstream development and scale-up manufacturing for the purification and chemical conjugation of antibodies and other proteins
 Design and validate process controls to ensure products are of high quality
 Develop analytical methods to monitor and characterize target products and contaminants
 Develop chemical conjugation protocols and processes to chemically modify proteins
 Coordinate efforts between R&D, QC, Manufacturing and other groups to meet goals and timelines

Qualifications:
 MS or PhD in BioEngineering or related field plus 3+ years industry experience working with antibody and/or protein manufacturing
 Experience in downstream processing, large scale production and chemical modification of proteins and antibodies
 Experience with analytical methods including HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Westerns, endotoxin testing, protein quantification, etc.
 Familiarity with ISO 13485 and cGMP regulations
 Solid presentation skills; capable of delivering technical summaries to support strategic decisions
 Ability to work well in team
